Day-1 update v0.1.48.17626, in full

Quick answer

The Day-1 update added Tantanmen and Garlic Chives, dish-clearing staff and securable cutting boards, buffed Easy and Normal payments, reworked the beer scoring thresholds and fixed a long list of multiplayer and tutorial issues.

The launch build is the Day-1 update: v0.1.48.17626 shipped the same day Early Access opened (9 October 2026). Wild Dog called it "new content, balance adjustments, usability improvements, and bug fixes based on your feedback" — and read end to end, it is a meaningful content patch, not a hotfix. Here is the player-facing version of every section.

Twelve gyoza on the grill, mid-service. The Day-1 build reworked how the kitchen runs around items like this.

A gyoza grill mid-load. The update's theme is kitchen ergonomics: fewer fights with your own equipment.

New content

AdditionDetailsUnlock
TantanmenNew ramen varietyChicken/pork broth orders from Lv.26; beef broth from Lv.28
Garlic ChivesNew ingredient — cut on a cutting board, used as toppingPurchasable from Lv.26
Tantan TareNew tare for the new linePurchasable from Lv.26
Dish-clearing staffNew staff role: clears dishes, trays, empty drink bottlesHireable in-game
Securable cutting boardsRight-click a placed board to lock or release it; cutting still works on a locked boardImmediately available

The dish-clearing hire is the one to notice: it was the most-requested addition from closed beta, and it is what makes solo late-game runs survivable — leave the trays and bottles to them and stay on the pots.

Balance changes

Payments got friendlier on the lower difficulties — a direct response to launch-week feedback:

DifficultyChange to customer payments
Easy×1.4 (40% increase)
Normal×1.2 (20% increase)
Hard / Very HardNo change

Unlock levels shifted:

  • Cola, Zero-Sugar Cola, Soda, Oolong Tea and Barley Tea: purchases and orders moved from Lv.26 down to Lv.25.
  • Bok Choy: purchasing moved from Lv.25 up to Lv.26; topping orders for Bok Choy and Garlic Chives start at Lv.26.
  • Bonito Flakes: now purchasable from Lv.25.

Other economy/kitchen changes:

  • Egg cartons capped at 6 per purchase (buy again right after completing the order).
  • Boss-customer first clears now pay a cash reward.
  • Beer scoring: combined liquid + foam below 70% of the mug now costs rating points; serving without foam shows a warning comment (no deduction); a comment appears when ramen is served on Tantan Tare alone.

Quality-of-life fixes worth reading twice

  • Fridge contents persist overnight even with the door left open — leftovers are no longer silently deleted.
  • Food on the sample shelf also persists.
  • Carry up to five tare bottles at once (one at a time when pouring).
  • Stacked bottles and mugs display the top item's remaining amount; items update to reflect what you are about to grab.
  • Stockpots, medium stockpots, simmering pots, knives and cutting boards can no longer be thrown into trash bins.
  • Empty trash bags are visually distinct from full ones.
  • The dishwasher prioritises dishes from your hands or a tray when its door is open, and its wash-start conditions now match its prompts.
  • Beer-keg install prompts improved; kunai and shuriken are delivered together with supply boxes.
  • Placed items settle faster; handcart handle range extended and its acceleration/deceleration retuned for tight turns.
  • Dish-clearing staff store trays from the top slot; they also collect empty bottles from vacated seats and bin them.
  • HUD scale now goes up to 1.3 in 0.1 steps; blocked actions explain themselves (missing tool, full storage, cooking in progress).

Tutorial and onboarding

The update retroactively counts actions performed before their tutorial appears (draining noodles, pouring beer, cutting, using the dishwasher, expanding), no longer demands a full mug during the beer tutorial, counts tutorial deadlines from when the tutorial shows on screen, and repairs a batch of ordering bugs — including one where the first-day chain could deadlock if you had already made the "wrong" dish early. Skipping the tutorial remains possible.

Multiplayer fixes

Connection failures now display cause, suggested solutions and an error code. Joining no longer stalls on item synchronisation; voice mute and push-to-talk apply immediately on join; the join screen closes cleanly; the beer-dispenser door and gyoza-grill lid report their open/closed state in sync; dumbwaiter items stay put; invitation-code room searches retry more gracefully.

Stability

FSR initialisation and frame-generation crashes were fixed — if you had launch-day crashes on an FSR-capable GPU, update before you blame your drivers.

The takeaway

Two things stand out about launch week: the studio shipped a real update on day one, and the update is heavily skewed toward the unglamorous stuff that makes a management sim liveable — persistence, prompts, priorities. If you bounced off the launch build for feel reasons, the current build is measurably friendlier. Full sourcing: the official Steam announcement, 9 October 2026.
